Horse Schools FAQ For Parents Part 6

My teen wants to attend a “specialty school” is it worth it?

A good specialty school is well worth the investment if your teen is intent on pursuing a certain career. For example, the respected Natural Horsemanship trainers now offer schools that teach their techniques. John and Josh Lyons’ program is just under $20,000, about the same as a college education from a state school, but having that certificate and training can go a long way in helping your teen establish and maintain a career as a natural horsemanship trainer. Other specialized careers are better served by a specialty school than a college (which usually won’t cover the subject).
