I  know of a student that had ridden and trained Western all her life.  She decided to take advantage of going away to school to learn something  she wasn't comfortable with at all. Unless you are looking at a very specific career path where there are  only a handful of schools that offer that course of study, you will  probably have a long list of possible schools to start out with. Here  are some tips to keep that list organized as you go through.

Here's a cool way to keep track of the schools on your search. 

Get  a map of the geographical area of where you are looking. Example, map  of the US, map of the UK, map of Texas, map of England, etc. 

Hang the map up on your wall. 

Get some map pins or colored thumb tacks. 

Make little tags with the name of the schools you are interested in.

Okay, you are on campus whether it is a college or a specialty school and this is when you will have a fairly good idea if this school is right  for you.

A new National Schools Series has been launched by British Eventing and the National Schools Equestrian Association.  


Riders, aged between 12 and 18, will take part in regional qualifiers next year, with the best put into regional squads to compete in a final at Stonar School, Wiltshire in May 2012.
